Your crown in two visits

Crowns are the treatment Highland patients search for most. Here is what the two trips involve.

  1. Visit one, about an hour. The tooth is numbed and shaped, a digital scan replaces impression putty, and you leave with a temporary crown.
  2. In between. A local dental lab makes your tooth-colored crown from the scan, usually in one to two weeks.
  3. Visit two, shorter. The temporary comes off, the new crown is checked for fit, color and bite, then cemented.

When does a tooth need a crown?

When it is cracked, badly worn, heavily filled, or has had a root canal. A crown covers the whole tooth so it can take chewing forces again.

Other treatment Highland patients come for

Dental implants for Highland patients

dental implants replace one tooth, several, or a full arch of fixed teeth. Dr. Sayeed plans each one on a 3D CBCT scan taken in our office and places it with a 3D-printed surgical guide, so there are no extra trips to an imaging center.

Veneers and teeth whitening

Porcelain veneers change the shape and color of front teeth in two or three visits and usually last 10 to 20 years. If you only want a brighter shade, teeth whitening takes one office visit or a couple of weeks with custom trays.

Checkups and cleanings

Checkups and cleanings are booked together, so a 23-minute drive covers both.

  • Such an amazing family practice with such a friendly and welcoming staff. I had such a great experience here, with a helpful tech doing my x-rays (literally no gagging which is unheard of for me), the doctor was so gentle in my cleaning, and he even gave me a super quick filling same day as he heard that I would be traveling back to college within the week. This is truly the greatest dental experience I have ever had. Reception is incredibly sweet, and such beautifully kind people!
